Agriculture in the Classroom
As part of the Take a Bite of BC program, BCfresh is providing highschool students with the opportunity to prepare meals with BCfresh locally grown produce. The program is designed to enhance culinary students' learning experience by allowing them to work with fresh, local produce and to provide awareness about the delicious produce that is grown right here in BC.

Teaching Students to Eat Local
Local produce is delivered right to the classroom, where chef instructors create recipes and teach students how to prepare fresh and healthy meals. Many of these meals are then passed on to the school cafeteria, where the entire student population can eat tasty, fresh meals made from locally grown produce.
BCfresh is proud to support the Take a Bite of BC program, as it enables young people to have a greater appreciation for the value of local farms and the importance they have to the local community, the economy, and the environment.
