In 1992, our predecessor Lower Mainland Vegetable Distributors Inc. was established to ensure the coordinated marketing of root crop vegetables produced in British Columbia's Fraser Valley. Today, BCfresh vegetables are meticulously grown on over 50 family farms throughout the Fraser Valley and select BC regions with many of the families going back four or five generations.

BCfresh Announces Winners of the "Be Fresh" Recipe Challenge
The results are in for the BCfresh “Be Fresh” New Potato Recipe Challenge with The Food Bloggers of Canada (FBC), a friendly group of food and beverage bloggers.
The contest was open to over 600 FBC members across Alberta and British Columbia. Entrants were given four weeks to create a unique dish featuring the BCfresh New Nugget Potato in a number of categories. The entries were reviewed and scored by the BCfresh team based on selected criteria.
Four recipes rose to the top, including the Smoked BC New Nugget Potato Skewers with Bacon & Rosemary entered by Lisa Bolton of Delta, BC, who was announced as the Grand Prize Winner.
For her creative and tasty recipe Lisa is putting a $250 gift card in her pocket, but she is not the only one who came out of this contest a winner. Three additional finalists, each winning $100 gift certificates include: Bombay Potatoes, Chipotle Potato Salad and New Nugget Lemon Potatoes.
