Nugget Potatoes

Primarily Warba (white), Norchip (white), Chieftain (red) and Yukon Gold (yellow). "Nugget" potatoes are picked early before they have reached maturity and size. They're selected and sorted for uniform size and shape before they reach the stores. "Nuggets" have a thin parchment-like skin and a delicious, firm flesh. "Nugget" potatoes need very little preparation, no peeling is necessary, just a light rinse. They are excellent when steamed, boiled or pan-fried and are exceptional served cooked & cold in salads.

Availability

New "Nugget" White Potatoes are available May through July.
Red and Yellow "Nugget" Potatoes are available July through March.

Care and Storage

"Nugget" potatoes’ delicate skin makes them highly perishable, so they should be stored in the refrigerator. Too much light will cause potatoes to turn green and develop a bitter taste

*Warning: Consumers should avoid eating potatoes that show signs of greening. Potatoes with pronounced greening should be discarded. If potatoes taste bitter or cause a burning sensation after cooking, do not consume them. (For further information please go the following web-site)
